How is HALO TRIBRID different from other laser treaments?

HALO TRIBRID Pre Care, Post Care, & What to Expect

Pre Care

Instructions may vary depending on on intensity of treatment.

Avoid retinols, exfoliants, and active or harsh skincare for 5-7 days prior to treatment

Please arrive to your appointment completely free of makeup, sunscreen and skincare, including eye makeup

Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks prior to your appointment

Skin should be at its baseline color, not freshly tanned or burned and without sunless tanner for six weeks

Post Care

Postcare for 7-14 days after your TRIBRID treatment:

Morning Routine

Wash the treated area with a gentle cleanser. We recommend JECT Gentle Cleanser or Alastin Gentle Cleanser

Immediately after cleansing, spray hypochlorous acid on the treated area

Apply two pumps of Alastin Skin Nectar to the treated area

Apply mineral sunscreen containing zinc or titanium as the active ingredients. Tinted mineral sunscreen is preferred. Note: application of chemical sunscreens to your skin at this stage will likely cause stinging.

Evening Routine

Wash the treated area with a gentle cleanser. We recommend JECT Gentle Cleanser or Alastin Gentle Cleanser

Immediately after cleansing, spray hypochlorous acid on the treated area

Apply two pumps of Alastin Skin Nectar to the treated area

Apply a thick moisturizing agent such as Aquaphor, Vaseline or a bland emollient cream

What to Expect

What should I expect after my HALO TRIBRID treatment?

During Treatment:Topical numbing is applied for comfort. The procedure typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Days 1-2: Your skin will be red and swollen. The swelling is the worst two days after treatment. You will notice swelling is generally worse in the morning and improves throughout the day.

Day 3-4: Swelling begins to subside and you will notice MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) forming. MENDS will be light to dark brown and have a gritty sensation, similar to coffee grounds or rough sandpaper. DO NOT scrub off these MENDS.

Days 5-10: MENDS will gently slough off as you cleanse and moisturize your skin and you will see new, pink skin underneath.

Complete healing is expected fourteen days after treatment. We find that most patients are significantly better within seven days after treatment.
