Hyaluronic acid-based fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. Dermal fillers are used to treat areas such as the lips, cheeks, undereyes and jawline with immediately visible results. Fillers are commonly combined with Botox and other wrinkle reducers for a comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation and a full facial balancing consultation is recommended for patients considering multiple areas. For deeper volume loss, Sculptra may be recommended alongside hyaluronic acid fillers. All hyaluronic acid fillers placed at JECT can be dissolved if needed.

Questions? We have answers.

What should I expect immediately after a filler treatment?

Be aware that bruising or swelling is possible, typically peaking at 48 hours and fully resolving within 1-2 weeks.

Can filler be dissolved if I don't like the results?

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase (Hylenex), which JECT offers at all locations. Sculptra and other non-HA fillers cannot be dissolved. Your JECT provider will always start conservatively and ensure you're happy before adding more product.

What results can I expect from dermal fillers?

Clients will notice more contour and definition. Fine lines will appear smoother, volume loss will be improved and asymmetries will be corrected.

When should I come back for my next filler treatment?

A 2 week follow up appointment is recommended after product has settled. One treatment lasts 6-12 months, depending on area and type of filler. Other factors may affect metabolism of dermal fillers.

Is filler pregnancy safe?

No, dermal fillers are not recommended when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Does filler hurt?

Pain is minimal and soreness post-treatment can be minimized with ice and Tylenol.

What products and brands do you use for your Dermal Filler treatments?

JECT uses a variety of brands for our Dermal Filler treatments including JUVÉDERM® by Allergan, Redensity™ RHA by Revance, Restylane® by Galderma, and the RHA® Collection by Revance.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 9–18 months depending on the product and treatment area. Lip filler tends to metabolize faster (6–12 months). Sculptra, a collagen-stimulating filler, can last up to 2 years. Your JECT provider will recommend the right product for your goals and expected longevity.

What is the difference between Juvederm and Restylane?

Both are hyaluronic acid fillers, but they have different textures and cross-linking technology. Juvederm tends to be smoother and more cohesive, ideal for lips and cheeks. Restylane is firmer and more malleable, often preferred for under-eyes, tear troughs, and fine lines. JECT carries both full product ranges.

Does lip filler hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied before lip filler injections to minimize discomfort. Most patients describe a mild pressure or pinching sensation during the treatment. The process takes 20–30 minutes. Swelling is normal for 24–72 hours post-treatment before final results are visible.
