Details

Controlled micro-trauma to the skin stimulates the body's natural healing process to trigger collagen production, reducing skin texture concerns. Softens fine lines, reduces pore appearance and acne scarring. Improves overall skin quality for a smoother, more vibrant appearance. Microneedling can be combined with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), PRFM (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) or Exosomes to stimulate collage production and significantly decrease downtime.

What to Expect

Pre-Treatment

Avoid retinol and other actives for 1 week prior to treatment.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid sun exposure and sunless tanning treatment for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Pre-Treatment

Avoid injectables, chemical peels, and other skin services for 2-4 weeks prior to treatment.

Pre-Treatment

We advise a pre-treatment with Valtrex for patients with history of cold sores.

Post-Treatment

Avoid touching the face, applying SPF or makeup for 24 hours unless directed otherwise by your provider. Use a fresh pillow case the first night after treatment.

Post-Treatment

After 24 hours, start cleaning with a gentle cleanser followed by a moisturizer twice a day and add SPF in the morning.

Post-Treatment

Avoid direct sunlight by wearing sunscreen and a hat for at least 1-2 weeks.

Post-Treatment

Avoid exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.

Post-Treatment

Avoid picking, shaving, or exfoliating until your skin is completely healed (about 1 week).

Post-Treatment

Do not use retinols or active chemical exfoliants (AHA/BHA) for the first week following your treatment.

What should I expect immediately after the treatment?
You should expect approximately 5-7 days of redness and peeling. Purging is possible in acne-prone skin types during this time.

What results can I expect from the treatment?
After your skin is healed, you will notice smaller pores, smoother texture and overall rejuvenated skin. Collagen production will continue to gradually increase, giving you long-lasting results.

When should I come back for my next treatment?

In order to achieve optimal results, we typically suggest 3-6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. Your provider will recommend a custom treatment plan.

 

Is this treatment pregnancy safe?

No, microneedling is not recommended when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Does it hurt?
A topical numbing agent is applied to the skin prior to treatment to alleviate discomfort. Clients could experience mild discomfort.
